Currently crushing on HB Nam's streetsyle blog StreetSFN. Nam is a wonderful blogger from Korea. Don't take my word for it, just take a look at some of his beautiful snaps and you'll fall head over... well 5" inch heels!
Ciao

Après-ski
In case you haven't heard.. there was a blizzard in Chicago this past week! 22" of snow fell in under 24 hours and there was ThunderSnow (quite the new phenomenon to me)! Cars were left deserted along Lake Shore Drive resulting in an Apocalyptic-esque scene. Needless to say I had to call in for a snow day as the streets went unplowed and I stayed snuggled warmly in my bed.
Hey, it's not easy looking chic in a snow storm! Stay warm my loves!

Trompe-l'œil à la Moschino
In the midst of searching for a new bed comforter I find myself ogling this brilliance from the Maison Moschino in Milan. I am utterly floored by the simplicity of design and yet it is so ingenious that I cannot stop staring.
And now a quick blurb about its origins.....
Savvy Italian fashion house Moschino's version of boutique hotel who describes itself as "highly imaginative & eccentric". Be careful or you just might find yourself on the other end of the looking glass.
... and now I am off to scour my closet for a bedding muse!
P.S. Check out the hotel's site for more incredible rooms

Happy Friday
It's Friday at last my loves!
I just received "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest", book 3 in Stieg Larsson's Millenium Trilogy, in the mail today from Borders! Therefore, I now have the perfect excuse to play hermit and snuggle up and read all weekend.
If only I had a spacious reading nook...

The first post of 2011 will be short.. sweet.. and completely over indulgent! I am a cardi freak and Rick Owens fan so, naturally I began to drool when I encountered this gem..

Rick Owens Beige Baby Alpaca/ Merino Wool/ Silk for a low low price of $730.

Do you know the muffin.... Woman?
I.. love.. to.. BAKE! That being said I have searched high and low for a pretty/ practical apron. Seeing as how I always end up spilling half of the ingredients on my clothes I figured it is about high time to invest. Today I stumbled upon this gem that is practical, chic and not crazily printed as so many are now-a-day. It's a bit more than I would like to spend at $68 from StudioPatro but oh so worth it! Anyone want to buy me an early early birthday present? =)
Isn't the back just lovely!
PS.. Happy Belated Valentines Day!

**Wellie Weather**
In the dismal days of this wintery weather where the daily Weather.com "Feels like" temperature is often sub-zero with a chance of a snowy avalanche... one is inclined to throw on the standard not-so-pretty but practical shapeless furry boots. However, back in my college days I developed a love for wellies and realized that they were not only practical for rainy days trudging to class (and puddle hopping) but also for knee deep snow. My rain boots kept my feet out of the slush, they dry quickly and were resistant to the PINK salt that the City of Lake Forest seemed to love so much.. Yay no salt stains!! The printed, fluorescent days of wellies of our youth are well past us and now more sleek yet oh-so-pretty options are available. Not to mention a little bit more work & fashion friendly. Here are a few lovely choices...

Scholl Black Cord Wellington Buckle Boot at My-wardrobe.com on sale for $49.50 (Orig. $99)

Sperry Top-Sider Women's Sadie Tall Rubber Boot at Amazon

Women's Schooled Fish Rain boots from Target for only $24.99! Okay. I know those are printed albeit subtly... but how cute are those fishies!!!
... And if you think your feet won't be warm enough... invest in a cute and toasty pair of Wellie Warmers from LL Bean for $19.95! Made from super soft fleece, they slide right inside of any wellies! Plus, they give them an extra English Countryside flair!

P.S.. HAPPY 2010 Everyone!!!
